TJs Driver Training is a family owned business specialising in driving lessons for people with special needs, of all ages and abilities. Our passion is to build peoples capacity to drive, develop individual confidence, and learn skills to achieve greater independence.
As parents of children with special needs, we know how hard it can be to find the right fit for your family. We take the worry out of this process when it comes to learning how to drive. Lessons are adapted to suit the individuals needs and skill level, as is the vehicle. We have experience successfully teaching people on the Autism Spectrum, Hearing Impaired, Mild Intellectual Disability, Aspergers’, ADD and ADHD, Sensory Processing Disorder, Anxiety, Mental Health and Spatial/Depth difficulties.
TJs Driver Training specialises in lessons for people with disabilities of many kinds and as a result there is a large number of vulnerable persons at higher risk of impact from this illness. As case numbers are beginning to grow and more COVID hotspots are coming up, governmental health advice is changing quickly. We will continue to follow safety guidelines closely.
Prior to the lesson students will be asked to apply hand sanitiser, and have their temperature taken. If a student’s temperature is 37.5 degrees or above, their driving lesson will be rescheduled.
If a student or one of their household members has cold, flu, runny nose or other viral symptoms, the lesson will be rebooked.
If a student has visited a local COVID hotspot, Sydney or Melbourne in the past 14 days, the lesson will be rebooked.
The vehicle controls and handles will be wiped down between lessons.
Disposable gloves are available on request.
As the situation is developing rapidly, lessons may be cancelled on short notice due to changes in Government recommendations or safety concerns, or if the instructor has symptoms of fever, cold, flu, runny nose or other viral illness. Any prepaid lessons will remain valid indefinitely through the crisis period.
